He is the Chairperson of Lakshmi Biofuels Ltd, where he oversees the global operations in The Channel Islands and Mauritius, where he made a substantial contribution to the company's sustainable growth. He was also successful in acquiring and managing a comprehensive Medical University in the Caribbean Islands. Honorary President of Union of Cruise Ship Owners & Associated Members (EEKFN), the union which supports the cruise industry entirely in Greece. Mr Kondes is also the Director of Majestic International Cruises, responsible for the entire operation including marine, technical and hospitality with up to three vessels in operation. He is a member of various committees and clubs including technical, shipping, propeller and others. He is a member of the Steering Committee for the post graduate course in the Technical University of Athens in Ports Management, including lectures on cruise industry issues and tourism ports. He is member of the National Cruise Board Committee controlling the cruise industry operation. He has received various awards in shipping during his career.
